Beth Ferreira VP Finance and Operations, Etsy
Beth Ferreira is currently leading the seller marketing efforts at Etsy, Inc. the leading online marketplace for all things handmade. Etsy has become a worldwide destination for independent artists and consumers who value the uniqueness and craftsmanship of handmade goods. Prior to joining Etsy, Beth held positions at Flatiron Partners investing in early stage technology companies, The Boston Consulting Group and Union Bank of Switzerland. She holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School.
Rick Heitzmann Founder and Managing Director, FirstMark Capital
Rick Heitzmann joined FirstMark, formerly Pequot Ventures, in 1999, where he focuses on investments in emerging media and advertising and data and information services. Heitzmann has been involved in marketplace businesses for over a decade – including StubHub, elance, ework, SecondMarket, LiveGamer and others. He graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Business Administration and earned his M.B.A. from The Harvard Business School. Rick sits on the Board of Directors of Clickable, Live Gamer, Riot Games and weplay. Rick is also on the Board of Directors of the New York Venture Capital Association.
Tim Ogilvie Founder, AdBuyer
Tim Ogilvie founded AdBuyer.com in 2007. AdBuyer.com provides buying and optimization tools for the display ad exchanges, secondary marketplaces for banner inventory that goes unsold by direct sales teams. Before AdBuyer.com, Tim spent 10 years helping build two startups from pre-launch/pre-revenue to profitabilty & exit. Most recently he was responsible for traffic generation at Pronto, IAC/InterActiveCorp’s comparison shopping engine, which grew from nothing to one of the most trafficked sites in 2007. Before that, Tim joined iWon.com in 1999 as an employee #6 and served in a variety of business development and marketing roles through their 2004 acquisition by Ask.com (and Ask’s subsequent acquisition by IAC in 2005). Tim has a B.S. in Computer Science from Yale (JE ’97).
